Gloki's daily dino fact-Velociraptor
Velociraptor(Meaning 'Swift Seizer') is a genus of dromaeosaurid theropod dinosaur that existed approximately 75 to 71 million years ago during the later part of the Cretaceous Period.[2] Only two species are currently recognized, although others have been assigned in the past. The type species is V. mongoliensis; fossils of this species have been discovered in both Inner and Outer Mongolia in central Asia. A second species, V. osmolskae, was named in 2008 for skull material from Inner Mongolia.
Smaller than other dromaeosaurids like Deinonychus and Achillobator, the turkey-sized Velociraptor nevertheless shared many of the same anatomical features. It was a bipedal, feathered carnivore with a long, stiffened tail and an enlarged sickle-shaped claw on each hindfoot, which is thought to have been used to kill its prey. Velociraptor can be distinguished from other dromaeosaurids by its long and low skull, with an upturned snout.
Velociraptor (commonly shortened to 'raptor') is one of the dinosaur genera most familiar to the general public due to its prominent role in the Jurassic Park motion picture series. In the films it was shown with anatomical inaccuracies, including being much larger than it was in reality and without feathers. It is also well known to paleontologists, with over a dozen recovered fossil skeletons—the most of any dromaeosaurid. One particularly famous specimen preserves a Velociraptor locked in combat with a Protoceratops.

4 leaf clover!
Me and Charmander talked about this, and he said adding a 4 leaf clover to our blog meant two things. One was to celebrate St.Patrick's day and it was lucky.

A: Ah, the ceratopsians. Big frills, big horns and big attitudes. The ceratopsians were like the armored cows of the Mesozoic, except they were way waaaaay cooler than cows. The most famous of the ceratopsians also happens to be the biggest, generally speaking. Reaching lengths of 30 ft (9m), Triceratops is regarded as the largest ceratopsian of them all.
Back in 2001, paleontologists found the remnants of the skull of an old relative of Triceratops (called Eotriceratops) in Canada. It took them five whole years to piece it back together. You can see in the picture above how massive this head was, measuring about 10 ft (3m) long. That is almost twice the size of an average human being! Paleontologists say the entire dinosaur was probably around 40 ft (10m). Do you know how big that is??? Let me show you.

The story of Goofy-how I got him
On Tuesday 16th March, Gloki was exploring Club penguin. He wanted a new puffle, and asked his friend, FroThY56, to recommend what puffle Gloki should get. He said Green, pink or orange. He also said Orange was the new puffle. Once Gloki was at the Pet Shop, all of the other puffles were gone. Disappointed, Gloki was also about to leave the Pet Shop, when something was nipping his flipper. It was a sobbing Orange puffle. He was really upset because nobody adopted him. He was the goofiest Orange puffle and nobody wanted his ugliness to approach their igloo. Gloki felt sorry and picked up the Orange Puffle. The puffle snuggled up close and Gloki hugged him. Gloki then decided to call him Goofy. Pikachu and Skye, Gloki's other puffles, greeted Goofy by playing with him and letting him use the Puffle washing machine first. Once it was time for bed, The 3 puffles slept in one bed, snuggling for warmth, knowing that they will be friends forever.

Comedy Night!-Friday
Hope you guys are ready to laugh your armor off once again at this Friday’s Comedy Night at the Lizard Lounge. Every dino who comes will have a chance to come up on the stage and tell their favorite joke. Our panel of guest judges will pick their top 3 favorite jokes and give out cheesey trophies!
The competition is just for fun though… the real awesomeness comes from the jokes. Comedy Night is the best entertainment show on the web.

Giant asteroids killed Dinosaurs
Good day dino friends! Pterry here with some extremely exciting news for my feature column, “Pterry’s True Science.” Sometimes Rex let’s me stop by the blog to tell you about new information coming out in the world of paleontology and prehistory. This is a big one. The biggest one so far.
Recently a group of 41 paleontologists and scientists made a decision on what really caused the extinction of the dinosaurs. We’ve discussed this on the blog before and it has been one of the biggest debates about dinosaurs ever. Now it is put to rest as the universally accepted explanation for the extinction of the dinosaurs.
Their decision had a lot to do with the Chicxulub crate in Mexico and the strange iridium layer between Cretaceous and Tertiary aged rocks. The asteroid that wiped out the dinos measures abotu 7.5 miles wide and had the destructive power on a nuclear bomb (times 1 billion, literally).
Well with that debate back to rest, scientists can go back to arguing about whether or not dinos were warm blooded or cold blooded.As for me on the other hand, I’ll be arguing with Horns about who the smarter dino is. That should be an obvious one!

Hey gang! We’re happy to introduce a brand new program for all of you awesome bloggers on the island. It’s called the Blogosaurs! We want to reward all of the effort you’ve put into your blogs and raise the bar for those that want to follow in your path. The Blogosaur badge is for dinos that have proven their hard work with a well maintained Webosaurs blog!
Perks of being a Blogosaur:
